Fresno State’s CineCulture program celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month with “La Americana,” Friday, Sept. 20, at 5:30 p.m. in the Peters Education Center Auditorium in the Student Recreation Center (Shaw and Woodrow avenues). The film describes the story of millions of illegal immigrants who make the difficult decision to leave their families behind to pursue the American dream. Director Nicholas Bruckman will speak about his film. The free, public event is co-sponsored by the Chicano and Latin American Studies. Parking is relaxed after 4 p.m. Fridays.
