“Celebrating Our Engagement,” an inaugural open house for the College of Health and Human Services, will highlight the college’s programs, research and initiatives 5 p.m. – 7 p.m., Thursday Oct. 10 at the Smittcamp Alumni House at Fresno State. University President Joseph I. Castro will give opening remarks, followed by featured presentations from faculty. Dr. Wade Gilbert will present “Creating Educationally Sound Interscholastic Athletics Programs: Fresno State – Fresno Unified Applied Research Collaborative,” and Cassandra Joubert will present “Faculty Engagement in Regional Change Efforts.” The evening will also include presentations on fitness, nutrition, social work, community partnerships and other issues.
