Fresno State’s Aztec Dance Club presents Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) Nov. 1 and 2 and will hold two workshops Oct. 25 and 26 to prepare papier-mâché skulls for the traditional Mexican celebration that honors and remembers the dead by decorating gravesites or altars (altares) with mementos. The workshops are 6-8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 25, and 3-7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26, at the Industrial Technology building, room 290. The handmade skulls will be displayed in the Free Speech Area the days of the event, which also commemorate the Roman Catholic observance of All Saints Day Nov. 1 and All Souls Day Nov. 2.
