Due to the federal government shutdown, the Fresno State Bulldog Battalion Army ROTC has cancelled its annual fall training event. However the cadets, with the support of several university departments, have developed their own training plan, Leadership Crucible, that begins at 8 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, on campus. They will rendezvous in front of the North Gym, where the cadets will begin with a three-mile rucksack march through the surrounding agriculture fields of the campus. The cadets will engage in a series of challenges that culminate in a final Bulldog Mile.
