The Fresno State Winery and its new “Unleashed” Wine Club presents “Unleashed Wine Club Pick-up Party,”   3-6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 17. It marks the first-ever event in the new Gibson Farm Market tasting room. Four new releases of student-produced wines will be featured: pinot noir, late harvest viognier (solare) and touriga. The free, public event will also feature meats and cheeses from the campus farm, as well as live guitar music from the Music department. The revived wine club was re-launched in April  and has grown to 100 members with exclusive access to selected wines. The pinot noir and solare are for wine club members only. Guests are invited to join the club and receive their first collection of wines on the spot. Guests can also meet the Gibson Farm Market’s tasting room associate, Derrick Webb, an Enology major from Modesto. The official grand opening for the Winery Tasting Room is set for late October.
