CineCulture celebrates International Education Week with the film, “With My Heart in Yambo” (Con Mi Corazon en Yambo) at 5:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 15, in the Leon S. and Pete P. Peters Educational Center in the Student Recreation Center (Woodrow and Shaw avenues) as part of the Latin Film Festival. Film producer Randi Krarup will lead a discussion after the film, which traces back to 1988 when director María Fernanda Restrepo was 10 years old and her two brothers, then 14 and 17, vanished without a trace. The family learned later that the boys had been illegally detained, tortured and murdered by the Ecuadorean police. The film is in Spanish with English subtitles.
