The grand opening for the Rue and Gwen Gibson Farm Market Wine Tasting Room at Fresno State is 3-6 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 7, kicking off weekly wine tastings. Admission to the event is $3 per person but will be waived with purchase of the student-produced wines. The market is located at 5370 N Chestnut Ave., north of Shaw. Enology students will pour Fresno State Muscat Cannelli, Pinot Gris, Tempranillo and Zinfandel. Fresno State cheese and salami will also be served. The tasting room will be open Thursdays and Fridays from 3 -6 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays from 1-4 p.m. The wines will change every weekend so that customers can sample all the wines available.
