(UPDATE Feb. 11, 2014)Fresno State finished in the top ten percent nationwide at the American Collegiate Moot Court Association National Championship Tournament Jan. 15. The results released this week show the team of Moses Menchaca and Simren Gill finished 28th in the preliminary rounds. The team of Grant Mason and Robert Copley finished 56th in preliminary rounds. In overall orator rankings Mason was 46th, Gill 104th, Menchaca 115th and Copley No. 136.

Two Fresno State moot court teams have qualified to compete in the national finals of the American Collegiate Moot Court Association Jan. 16-19 in Tempe, Ariz. against 80 other teams. The two local teams will present a final performance — a competition against each other — at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 15, in the University Student Union Room 309 as a tune-up for nationals. The local event, which is free and open to the public, is presented by the Department of Political Science and the Fresno State Moot Court Club. The Fresno State teams of Grant Mason and Robert Copley and Simren Gill and ASI President Moses R.
