The 26th Annual Fresno State Armenian Studies Program Banquet will begin at 5 p.m. Sunday, March 2, at the Fort Washington Golf and Country Club in Fresno where Fresno State President Joseph I. Castro and his wife Mary will be the guests of honor. Dr. Castro is in his first year as the university’s president. More than 40 student recipients of program scholarships and grants for 2013-2014 will also be recognized along with students minoring in Armenian Studies. The occasion will also mark the 35th anniversary of Hye Sharzhoom, the Armenian Studies Program and Armenian Students Organization newspaper at Fresno State, with a reunion of editors and staff planned that day.
