Fresno State’s nationwide search for a provost and vice president for Academic Affairs has resulted in four finalists who will visit the campus and meet faculty, staff and students in forums starting next week.
An 11-member search committee of university faculty, staff and students was chaired by Dr. Brian Tsukimura, professor in the Department of Biology.
The candidates are:
- Dr. Bonnie Irwin, dean of the College of Arts & Humanities – Eastern Illinois University
- Dr. Lynnette Zelezny, associate provost – California State University, Fresno
- Dr. Scott Ryan, dean of the School of Social Work – The University of Texas at Arlington
- Dr. Christopher Ingersoll, dean of the College of Health Professions – Central Michigan University
The new provost will succeed Dr. William A. Covino, who became president of California State University, Los Angeles in September 2013.
