The Fresno State suicide prevention program, Project SAFE, will conduct two free training sessions, Question, Persuade and Refer (QPR), Feb. 13 and 14 in the Henry Madden Library, room 2206. The Thursday session will be 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. The Friday session will be 1-2:30 p.m. Participants will learn the common misconceptions about suicide, warning signs, how to talk about suicide, how to persuade someone to get help and how to refer someone to appropriate resources. Seating will be limited and RSVP required. Project SAFE also seeks volunteers to serve as a resource to students in a time of need and maintain familiarity with campus and community resources.
