Preview Day 2014 will be 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, March 22 for incoming high school and community college transfer students who want a closer look at Fresno State’s academic programs, faculty and facilities.
The event is primarily for those who have already applied and been admitted for the fall but it is open to others interested in attending Fresno State. Many who have been admitted by then will have the opportunity to complete the admission process and walk away as official members of the Fresno State Bulldogs family that day.
Sponsored by University Outreach Services, Preview Day is designed to assist
prospective students who are considering alternative college choices to experience first-hand what Fresno State has to offer.
Every year, the event draws thousands of students and parents to campus for a one-day visit that features a variety of activities, workshops and speakers to give them a glance at what lies ahead in fall 2014 should they choose to accept their admission and enroll.
Check-in will be held 8-8:45 a.m. in the Save Mart Center (2650 E. Shaw Ave.) followed by a welcome at 9 a.m. from University President Dr. Joseph I. Castro, making his first appearance at the annual event.
Dr. Lynette Zelezny, Fresno State’s new provost and vice president for academic affairs, and Associated Students, Inc. President Moses Menchaca also will speak.
Participants will be able to tour the campus, hear from representatives in their academic major and partake in a student services information fair featuring student clubs, organizations and student support services. Workshops conclude the day from noon-2 p.m. See full schedule.
Students who accept admission at Preview Day may also register and secure a spot for the Dog Days orientation sessions held in the summer.
