The “Turning Pages: Intersections of Books and Technology” exhibition in the Ellipse Gallery of Fresno State’s Henry Madden Library gives new life to a Parisian word game from the 1920s. The game, known as “Exquisite Corpse,” was started by surrealist artists who would contribute one sentence or phrase to a story without knowing what came before. Visitors of the “Turning Pages” exhibition can contribute to several ongoing stories as part of the “Exquisite Storybook” project. The public can also participate online at www.exquisitestorybook.com. This site, developed and funded by the Arne Nixon Center for the Study of Children’s Literature, will remain active after the exhibition closes May 30. INFO: Jennifer Crow at 559.278.8116.
