Fresno State’s Division of Continuing and Global Education will offer an online training program designed for working professionals interested in careers in homeland security. The Certificate of Advanced Study in Homeland Security aims to balance the perspective of first responders, middle level supervisors and executive managers and decision-makers on the many inherent challenges of societal protection from natural and human-caused disasters. The program is conducted completely online, offering a convenient method for developing expertise in the preparedness, response, recovery and protection of society. The 12-unit, graduate-level certificate can be completed in two consecutive semesters. Classes begin in August 2014 and applications will be accepted until June 15, 2014. Admission is open to individuals with an undergraduate degree in any field from an accredited institution. Completion of the Graduate Record Exam (GRE) is not required.
