The Bulldogs in the Kitchen Program will kick off from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday, April 7 in in the Family and Food Science Building kitchen lab at Fresno State. Dietetic students under the direction of Dr. Lisa Herzig, professor in the Food Science and Nutrition department, assist student-athletes through hands-on education and instruction of cooking, food safety and nutrition. At the end of the activity, athletes leave with a “playbook” of knowledge regarding proper nutrition, recipes, food handling procedures and safety. The program continues Thursday, April 10 and after spring break from April 21-23.
