The Friends of the Madden Library and the Central Valley Water Awareness Committee will host a program, “How to Make Your Garden Beautiful and Your Water Consumption Sensible During a Drought,” at 6 p.m. Friday, May 2 as a prelude to the Water-Wise Plant event (May 3). Friday’s free, public event will be in the Henry Madden Library (main lobby check-in) beginning with a reception featuring hors d’oeuvres and a no-host beer and wine bar.
