Fresno State President Joseph I. Castro has announced the appointment of Dr. Noemi Donoso, senior vice president of Education Initiatives for Roll Global, to the University Advisory Board. The board is a panel of community members who provide Castro advice regarding the improvement and development of the university.

Donoso leads local and national education initiatives for Roll Global LLC, a Los Angeles-based company that has invested millions of dollars to improve educational outcomes for students in the Central Valley and across the country. She has two decades of experience as a senior school administrator, principal, teacher and teacher coach.

She earned her undergraduate degree from Mount St. Mary’s College, a master’s degree in public policy from Rutgers University and a Ph.D. in Education Policy and Planning from the University of Southern California.

“I am pleased Dr. Donoso has agreed to serve on the University Advisory Board,” said Castro. “She brings an expertise in education that will provide valuable insights.”

The University Advisory Board, chaired by Sandy Brown, includes members Juan Arambula, Nancy Ayala, Armen Bacon, Katherine Flores, J. Michael McGowan, Michael Patton, James Shekoyan, Gena Strang-Behrens, Julia Tone, Zoua Vang and Allysunn Walker-Williams.
