Fresno State and the community group Creating Prosperity in Fresno, will sponsor a judicial candidate forum from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Monday, May 19, in the Satellite Student Union (2585 E. San Ramon Ave.) on the campus.

Five candidates for Fresno County Superior Court candidates have been invited to participate. Bill McEwen, editorial page editor of The Fresno Bee, will moderate the forum. KMJ Radio will provide live-streaming on its website, www.kmjnow.com.

The candidates are Jarrett Cline, Lisa Gamoian, Rachel Hill, Charles Magill and Steven Smith. They are vying to replace Superior Court Judge Robert H. Oliver, who announced earlier this year that he is retiring.

“Fresno State is pleased to co-sponsor this forum, which will enable community members to make better-informed decisions about who should represent us on the Superior Court,” said Fresno State President Joseph I. Castro.

Creating Prosperity for Fresno is a diversified group of civic-minded Fresno business, education and nonprofit leaders with a common goal to create jobs and promote economic prosperity for the community and its citizens.

Campus parking is free for the event.
