Building community partnerships between students and nearby residents to improve safety in the Sierra Madre and El Dorado Parks neighborhoods west of campus will be the focus of Fresno State’s third annual Community Revitalization Summer Summit from 8:45 a.m.-1:45 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 14 in the North Gym, Room 118 (5305 N. Campus Drive). Hosted by Associated Students, Inc., the free, public event’s theme this year is “The Art and Science of Revitalizing Communities Surrounding Urban Universities.”
