The annual Fresno Iris Society Fundraiser will be from 8 a.m. – noon Saturday, Aug. 9 at the Fresno State Horticulture Horticulture building (3150 E. Barstow Ave., east of Chestnut). Presented by the Fresno State Nursery with the society, the free, public event will feature a variety of plants for sale that include iris rhizomes, houseplants, shrubs, perennials, drought tolerant plants, trees and fruit trees. Workshops will be held throughout the day with nursery staff and horticulture students on hand to answer questions.
