The Fresno State Winery’s “SIP-tember” tasting tour in observance of California Wine Month, begins at noon Friday, Sept. 5, at the Gibson Farm Market and runs through Sunday, Sept. 7. The $3 admission includes a wine glass and will be credited toward select wine purchases. Select wines will be on sale including two gold medals winners this year — the 2011 California Syrah and the 2007 Saviez Syrah — which can be purchased at a 20 percent discount during the three-day tasting. Throughout the month, wine tastings will be held at the market every weekend beginning at noon every Friday. Also, enology students will be pouring Fresno State Wines at various scheduled community events.
