Tanya Nichols, English lecturer in the Fresno State Department of English, will celebrate the launch of her new book, “The Barber’s Wife,” at 7 p.m. Tuesday Nov. 25 at the Pinot Wine Bar and Bistro in Fresno (805 E Olive Ave.). The novel tells the story of the secrets a woman keeps when she is unable to help her wounded friend who is wanted for killing a lawman. They forge a strong bond as they care for other wounded men and share dangerous secrets and a dangerous love. The launch celebration for the novel will also include a reading and book signings by the author. Nichols earned a bachelor’s degree in English and MFA in creative writing at Fresno State.
