“Whether curly, kinky, braided or locked, black hair is beautiful!” That will be the theme of Natural Hair Night from 5-7 p.m. today (Feb. 19) in the Henry Madden Library, Room 3212, as part of Fresno State’s African Peoples History Month. Dr. Marnel Niles Goins will join industry professionals and beauty experts to discuss the trend of natural hair and skin care and how many women have made the conscious decision not to process their hair anymore and wear it in its natural state. The month-long observance is presented by Fresno State’s Africana Studies Program, Black Students United and the Central Valley Cultural Heritage Institute. INFO: 559.278.6946.
