For the 10th consecutive year, Filmworks and Fresno State’s CineCulture will present an exclusive Central Valley engagement of its 2015 “Oscar-Nominated Short Films” Feb. 12 and 13 at the Tower Theatre (815 E. Olive Ave.).

Just weeks before the winners are announced, guests will see all 15 Academy Award nominees in the animation, live action and documentary categories.

Three full programs of acclaimed short films representing 11 different countries and nine different languages will begin with documentaries on Thursday at 5:30 p.m. Friday’s show times begin at 5:30 p.m. with live action, followed by animation at 8:30 p.m.

Filmworks has also invited more than 300 students from across the city to attend the screenings for free: digital media and cinematography students from the Sunnyside High School Video Production Academy; communication and journalism majors from Fresno Pacific University; and CineCulture students from Fresno State.

Tickets to single programs are $10 general admission and $8 for students and seniors. A special $15 double-feature ticket is available for any two programs. Tickets are available at the Tower Theatre Box Office or at FresnoFilmworks.org.
