CineCulture at Fresno State will screen “Oil & Water” at 5:30 p.m. Friday, March 20, in the Leon S. and Pete P. Peters Educational Center in the Student Recreation Center (Woodrow and Shaw avenues.). The 78-minute film is the coming-of-age story of two boys who face one of the world’s worst toxic disasters, the contamination of the Ecuadorian Amazon by oil companies. A discussion follows the screening led by Hugo Lucitante, a student activist featured in the film. The free public event is co-sponsored by the Women’s International League for Peace and Freedom.
