Fresno State’s Associated Students, Inc. (ASI) has been awarded a Student Affairs Professionals in Higher Education 2015 Excellence Award. The student government organization will receive the Civic Learning, Democratic Engagement, Service-Learning and Community Service Gold Award for its community revitalization as “A Student Movement Promoting Safety through Service” in New Orleans later this month. Selection criteria were based on positive impact on student learning, demonstrating success in addressing student needs and/or critical campus issues and collaboration with academics.
