Ambassador Venkatsan Ashok, consul general of India in San Francisco, will discuss “India U.S. Relations and India – A Vibrant Democracy,” at 10 a.m. Friday, March 13 in the Henry Madden Library, Room 2206. He starts the day with a meet and greet at 9:30 a.m. prior to the talk, which touches on President Barack Obama’s recent visit to India. He will then visit the Peace Garden for a flower offering at the Gandhi memorial. Other scheduled events include a luncheon hosted by the Maddy Institute, a visit to the Jordan College of Agricultural Sciences and Technology from 2-4 p.m. and a welcome by the Indian community at 6 p.m. at the Elephant Lounge (80 W.
