Dr. Frank Lamas, vice president for student affairs and enrollment management, is the new board chair for NASPA, the national association representing student affairs administrators at more than 2,000 colleges and universities.

Lamas, who has served as the board chair-elect for the past year and is the first Latino to hold that national leadership position, took office at NASPA’s national conference in New Orleans last week.

He previously served as the NASPA Latino/a National Network chair, on the board of directors as a member-at-large from 2011-2013 and as NASPA Conference chair for 2014. He is in his first year at Fresno State.
