Fresno State CineCulture and Filmworks present a screening of “The Wrecking Crew” at 5:30 and 8:45 p.m. Friday, May 8, at the Tower Theatre.The film tells the story of studio musicians nicknamed “The Wrecking Crew” who worked in the music industry in Los Angeles throughout the 1960s and early 1970s and played a pivotal role in the making of the “West Coast Sound” featured in numerous No. 1 hits. The film includes interviews with Brian Wilson, Cher, Nancy Sinatra, Herb Alpert, Glen Campbell, Gary Lewis and Crew members. After the 5:30 p.m. show, filmmaker and director Denny Tedesco will lead a discussion about the legacy of his father Tommy Tedesco, one of the members of ‘The Wrecking Crew,’ and the decades of inspiration behind the film. The screening is co-sponsored by 90.7 KFSR, “Fresno’s Music Alternative.” Tickets are $10 general and $8 for students and seniors and are available in advance at the Tower Theatre (815 E.
