The 13th Annual Mediator Mentors Appreciation Day from 9 a.m.-12:45 p.m. Friday, May 22 at Fresno State will honor peer mediators along with their teachers and mentors in Fresno County who stepped up to help resolve conflicts among students at local schools. More than 1,000 elementary and middle school peer mediators are expected to attend the event, which culminates the communication and conflict resolution training they received. The day will begin at Margie Wright Diamond with President Joseph I. Castro speaking at 9:40 a.m., followed by an awards ceremony in the North Gym, room 118. At noon, lunch will be served on the lawn between the Peters Business Center and the Satellite Student Union.
