Maya Fresno 16 Cinemas, which opened at The Square at Campus Pointe last month, will give Fresno State students and employees a free advance preview of its Maya Premiere Experience (MPX) — the largest screen in the Central Valley – with three special 30-minute media presentations at 10 a.m, noon and 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 10.  Maya opens the MPX Theatre to the public at 9:30 p.m. Thursday, June 11 with the premiere of “Jurassic World.”  At the advance event Wednesday, students and employees may view the auditorium and see a brief demonstration. Refreshments will be available. Featuring more than 2,300 square feet of screen space, the Maya Cinemas MPX premium large format features a large wall-to-wall and ceiling-to-floor screen and a custom digital surround sound system featuring the latest in sound technology. The MPX auditorium seats 355 in plush, ergonomically-designed seating with custom armrests that include a table area.  Maya Cinemas is also working with University programs to showcase student projects in the lobby (details to come) and offers Kids Summer Film Festival on Wednesdays and Thursdays at 10 a.m. with a $1 general admission.
