Maya Fresno 16 Cinemas, which opened at The Square at Campus Pointe last month, will give Fresno State students and employees a free advance preview of its Maya Premiere Experience (MPX) — the largest screen in the Central Valley – with three special 30-minute media presentations at 10 a.m, noon and 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 10. Maya opens the MPX Theatre to the public at 9:30 p.m. Thursday, June 11 with the premiere of “Jurassic World.” At the advance event Wednesday, students and employees may view the auditorium and see a brief demonstration. Refreshments will be available. Featuring more than 2,300 square feet of screen space, the Maya Cinemas MPX premium large format features a large wall-to-wall and ceiling-to-floor screen and a custom digital surround sound system featuring the latest in sound technology. The MPX auditorium seats 355 in plush, ergonomically-designed seating with custom armrests that include a table area.
