The Fresno State School of Nursing Community Health Mobile Unit will stop at the Madera Community Center (1901 Clinton St.) from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 8, to provide free health services. Madera residents can receive immunizations and diabetes and blood pressure screenings, plus health assessments, education and referrals. Free flu shots (ages 4 and up) are available and limited to the first 50 individuals. The unit, coordinated by Fresno State nursing faculty and students, is traveling to various rural communities in Fresno County during the next two years to offer services to those who do not have readily available access to health care.
