Fresno State’s annual Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) Seminar will be from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 13, at the Kremen Education Building (5005 N. Maple Ave.). The free, public bilingual (Spanish) event sponsored by Univision 21 provides current and incoming students and their families an opportunity to learn about and file for financial aid with guidance from counselors and volunteers. The FAFSA factors the amount of money a family is expected to contribute to a postsecondary institution with the results used for determining student grants, work study and loan amounts. Wednesday, March 2, is the California priority deadline to complete the FAFSA for the 2016-2017 academic year. The seminar is one of several that Univision sponsors throughout the Valley on Feb. 13. Co-sponsors include Fresno State’s Dream Outreach Center and California Mini-Corps. INFO: Otto Benavides, campus FAFSA event coordinator, at 559.278.0379 or ottob@csufresno.edu.
