The Fresno State Talks lecture series begins at 7 p.m.  Thursday, Feb. 11 with Dr. Veena R. Howard discussing “Awakening the Force of Nonviolence: Gandhi’s Moral Experiments” in the Satellite Student Union (5280 N. Jackson Avenue). The event opens with a reception at 6:30 p.m. Howard’s talk is the first of three faculty members featured who were nominated and selected by students. Their lecture topics exemplify the University’s values of “Discovery, Diversity, and Distinction.” Hosted by Student Involvement, the talk is free and open to the public.
