Seventeen Fresno State students in the Department of Mass Communication and Journalism will serve as digital journalist for the “100 Young Voters” social media campaign, presented by Capital Public Radio’s Innovation Lab. They are among 30 journalism students who were selected from Fresno State, Sacramento State and the University of Nevada, Reno to research, report and post stories of 100 young Latino voters. The stories will be published on Instagram using the hashtag #100YoungVoters. Faith Sidlow, an assistant professor in Mass Communication and Journalism, is one of the four project advisers in addition to staff from Innovation Lab. The goal of the campaign is to discover what issues matter to young Latinos and what candidates will receive their votes in the 2016 election. INFO: Sidlow at 559.278.4668 or fmsidlow@csufresno.edu.
