Fresno State’s CineCulture film series and Filmworks come together for two presentations of “The Treasure” at 5:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. Friday, March 11, at the Tower Theater (815 E. Olive Ave.). “The Treasure” tells the story of Costi, a family man and self-proclaimed Robin Hood to his 6-year-old son. One night, Costi’s cash-strapped neighbor reveals a family secret that sets the two on a twisted, weekend-long comic caper at a hidden family home in the country. Hoping to be a hero for his son, Costi pools his money for a metal detector, and the tumultuous search for redemption begins. The film runs 90 minutes and is in Romanian with English subtitles. Tickets cost $10 general admission and $8 for students and seniors. Tickets can be purchased online at FresnoFilmworks.org or at the Tower Theater box office.
