The CineCulture Film Series presents “Our Village” at 5:30 p.m. Friday, April 1, in the Peters Educational Center Auditorium (west of Save Mart Center in the Student Recreation Center) followed by a discussion led by the film’s director Yelena Arshkayan. “Our Village” explores the lives of three neighbors in a modern, rural Armenian village. Director Arshakyan has been a film director and scriptwriter in the Public TV Company of Armenia since 2002. The film is presented in Armenian with English subtitles, and runs 97 minutes. The event is co-sponsored by the Armenian Studies Program at Fresno State. All films screened on campus are free and open to the public. Parking is free on the weekends and after 4 p.m. on Fridays.
