Subject: Fatal Motorcycle Accident on Fresno State Property

On Wednesday, April 6th, 6:17 am, Northeast patrol and traffic officers were dispatched to Fresno State farm property located north of Bullard Avenue, between Cedar and Willow Avenues, regarding a motorcycle accident. University PD officers were also dispatched on the call.

Upon arrival, officers located a deceased motorcyclist on a dirt access road in the middle of the farm property. There was a motocross-type motorcycle laying on its side next to the deceased male. Joggers on the property came upon the accident scene at 6am and they notified the police. The Fresno Police Department Collision Reconstruction Unit responded to the scene to conduct the accident investigation.

The preliminary findings in the investigation are that a 25 year old male was riding the motorcycle on the farm property traveling eastbound on the dirt access road when he struck a 4′ vertical metal stand pipe on the side of the road causing the rider to be ejected from the motorcycle. It is not known what time the accident occurred, only that the male was found by joggers at 6am.
