Fresno State’s Air Force ROTC Detachment 035 commissioned seven new officers at its pinning ceremony during the University’s recent commencement season.

The new officers receiving their first salutes as second lieutenants in May are:

  • 2nd Lt. John Cyhaniuk (B.S. Kinesiology – Exercise Science) of San Dimas will serve as a combat systems officer at the Pensacola Naval Air Station in Florida
  • 2nd Lt. Kahli Vaughn (B.S. Criminology – Law Enforcement) of Fresno will serve as an airfield operations officer at Seymour Johnson Air base in North Carolina
  • 2nd Lt. Ronelle Say (B.S. Kinesiology – Exercise Science) of Porterville will serve as an air battle manager at Tyndall Air Force Base in Florida
  • 2nd Lt. Carlie Gantar (B.A. Mass Communications and Journalism – Public Relations) of Edwards Air Force Base will serve as a combat systems officer at the Pensacola Naval Air Station in Florida
  • 2nd Lt. Daniel Parsons (B.S. Criminology – Law Enforcement) of Fresno will serve as a combat systems officer at the Pensacola Naval Air Station in Florida
  • 2nd Lt. Joshua Myers (B.S. Criminology – Law Enforcement) of Napa will serve as a pilot at Vance Air Force Base in Oklahoma
  • 2nd Lt. DeVaughn McGee (B.S. Kinesiology – Exercise Science) of Hanford will serve as a logistics officer at Royal Air Force Station Mildenhall in Suffolk, England.
