Actor and education advocate Ernie Hudson and nationally-renowned literacy education advocate Kelly Gallagher will deliver the general keynote talks at the second annual “Better Together: California Teacher’s Summit” on Friday, July 29, for 40 sites throughout the state, including Fresno State’s event at the Satellite Student Union. Hudson and Gallagher’s speeches will be telecast live to each location where teachers, teacher candidates and school administrators will be attending conferences from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. At Fresno State, about 400 Valley education leaders will also hear local speakers Tiffany Castillo and Joe Marquez. This free event features workshops on best practices in the classroom, implementing California Standards in English/Language Arts and Math and the Next Generation Science Standards, STEM education and more.
