California State Controller Betty Yee will deliver the keynote address for the Central Valley Venture Forum, set for 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 3, at the Clovis Veterans Memorial District Auditorium, 808 4th St., Clovis. Registration is now open online at www.valleyventureforum.com. Venture capitalists, angel investors, leading start ups and community leaders will discuss economic and financial opportunities relating to the Central Valley. The event, a partnership between the Central Valley Fund, and Fresno State’s Craig School of Business and Lyles Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, costs $65 and includes a continental breakfast, lunch and entry into all sessions. Student tickets are available for $25. In a best-in-show competition, five Central Valley entrepreneurs will present their businesses to investor judges for a grand prize of funding to help further their business venture in the Valley. Dr. Scott Moore, interim executive director of the Lyles Center, invites students and the public “to hear about business forecasts for the future of our ever-growing Valley.”
