Fresno State’s CineCulture film series presents “Agents of Change” at 5:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 24, in the Peters Education Center Auditorium on the Fresno State campus. From well-publicized events at San Francisco State in 1968 to the image of black students with guns emerging from the takeover of the student union at Cornell University in April 1969, the film documents the struggle for a more relevant and meaningful education in the late 1960s. ”Agents of Change” examines the untold story of the racial conditions on college campuses that led to these protests. Sponsors for this event include the Henry Madden Library’s Prentice Womack Fund and the Africana Studies Program. Co-directors Abby Ginzberg and Frank Dawson will lead the post-screening discussion.
