Pres. Castro named ‘Honorary Portuguese-American of the Year’

Fresno State President Joseph I. Castro will receive the Honorary Portuguese-American of the Year award during the seventh Society of Portugese Students Awards Ceremony at 4 p.m. Sunday, May 21, at the Tulare Community Auditorium. SOPAS consists of students and parents from Tulare Union, Tulare Western and Mission Oak high schools. The ceremony will be followed by a reception to celebrate the honorees and their families.
