The Music of America Concert Series presents “The Fresno Blues Review” at 7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 9, at Fresno State’s Satellite Student Union. The concert will feature four local blues acts: Bobby Logan, Ed Burke, Square One and Deja Blues. Dr. John Karr, who teaches music history and ethnomusicology in the Department of Music at Fresno State, said the Music of America series is devoted to traditional American music — bluegrass, folk, blues, gospel, country, mariachi, music nortena, zydeco and more — that is largely under-represented in concert programming in the Central Valley. Tickets are $10 (general admission) and $5 for students with ID. Tickets are available online through the Music Department ticket website and will also be available at the door on the night of the event.
