CineCulture will present “A Suitable Girl” at 5:30 p.m., Friday, Feb. 16, in the Peters Education Center Auditorium at the Student Recreation Center (5010 N. Woodrow Ave.) The post-screening discussion will be led by director Sarita Khurana. Winner of the Albert Maysles Best New Documentary Director Award, “A Suitable Girl” features three young women, Ritu, Dipti and Amrita, living in India and trying to navigate the lines between personal identity and the societal pressures of marriage. “A Suitable Girl” is an hour and a half long, in English and Hindi with English subtitles (trailer).
