Jazz piano artist Tigran Hamasyan will perform as part of the Philip Lorenz World Music Series at 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 19, at the Fresno State Concert Hall.

Hamasyan is an award-winning pianist who fuses jazz improvisation with the folkloric heritage of Armenia. The Guardian named Hamasyan “the hottest pianist in jazz.”

The concert is co-sponsored with the Armenian Studies Program of Fresno State and the Thomas A. Kooyumjian Family Foundation. Tickets are $25 for general admission, $18 for seniors and $5 for students. Parking is free in lot P1.
