Fresno State honors veterans with several events, campus closure Monday

Fresno State Veterans Services presents several events in honor of the Veterans Day national holiday. A ceremony will be held on campus at 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 8, at the Veterans Memorial at the flag poles near the Thomas Building. The “Remember the Fallen” exhibition is on display in the Henry Madden Library through Nov. 13. The Bulldog Marching Band will perform in the city of Fresno Veterans Day parade in Downtown Fresno at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 12.

The Fresno State campus will be closed Monday, Nov. 12. Also, the Kennel Bookstore, Henry Madden Library and Gibson Farm Market will also remain closed for the holiday on Monday. Bowling and billiards for veterans will take place from 2 to 4:30 on Thursday, Nov. 15, in the Bulldog Bowl. The Nov. 17 football game is a tribute to veterans, with a veterans tailgate in Red Lot 58. INFO: Veterans Services Office at 559.278.4083.
