The Rue and Gwen Gibson Farm Market (5368 N. Chestnut Ave.) is accepting donations for the sixth annual Helping Hams campaign through Thursday, Dec. 6. The campaign’s goal is to raise $7,500 to purchase 250 hams for area families and students in need. Donations will be accepted in increments of $5 by cash or check, and six donations (or $30) will purchase one ham.
The campaign, sponsored by Associated Students, Inc., is also still accepting applications to receive hams from Fresno State-affiliated charities, departments and auxiliary services that can apply online at http://bit.ly/helpinghams2018 through Thursday, Dec. 6. Organizations will be notified of their status via email by Wednesday, Dec. 12, and approved organizations are tentatively scheduled to pick up allotments on Friday, Dec. 14.
