The Fresno State Music Department invites the community to the 2019 Fresno State violin and viola festival concerts at 8 p.m. Oct. 4 and 5 at the Concert Hall, featuring renowned guest artists violinist Martin Beaver and violist Che-Yen Chen.
On Oct. 4, the guest artists will join Fresno State faculty Limor Toren-Immerman, Michael Chang and Thomas Loewenheim along with student Kelvin Diaz Inoa, for the Faculty Chamber Music concert. On Oct. 5, the guest artist will join the Fresno State Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of Thomas Loewenheim, for the violin and viola festival concert. The festival will include free daytime master classes by the guest artists for students who RSVP.
Tickets for the chamber music concert and the festival concert are $15 general, $10 employee and seniors and $5 for students. Parking is free in all green and yellow lots for both concerts.
