Dr. Donald Wise believes that serving others is the mark of a true leader. By encouraging future educators, he is forging the face of tomorrow. Professor and chair of the Department of Educational Research and Administration, Dr. Wise is the recipient of the 2004 Provost’s Award for Faculty Service. He considers himself fortunate to be able to interact with present and future school leaders as they build relationships that will set the tone for education in the region. Known for his service to the public school education community, Dr. Wise is highly respected by school district leaders for his commitment to the professional development of new administrators. He also is the associate director of the Central Valley Educational Leadership Institute, which offers activities and conferences for San Joaquin Valley school leaders.

With Dr. Wise are Fresno State graduates and community administrators, Misty Her, principal of Burrows Elementary, and Stephen Morris, vice principal of Central High – West Campus.
